Food For Fines

In celebration of National Library Week, April 9-15, the Osgood Public Library System will be accepting Food for Fines. During this week the program will enable library users to return overdue books in exchange for a food donation. A library user can also take this opportunity to pay down his library fines. Essentially a person will be able to donate one canned good for each $1 in fines up to $15. This can only be applied to overdue fines and not lost or damaged items. You may also donate even if you do not owe a fine. All can goods donated will go respectively to the Osgood or Milan food pantries.

The library is an integral part of the community and we appreciate all the support that our community has given us. This is our way of giving back and to remind the community that we are here to meet many needs. The library embraces the entire community, offering unlimited opportunities for personal growth and lifelong learning. Libraries level the playing field for people of any age who are seeking information and access to technologies that will improve their quality of life.
